I went into the General tab for my WebHelp skin and checked the box for Automatically Sychronize TOC. I don't see any difference. The topic is highlighted as always. Am I missing something?

you should notice a difference when you're in another topic and click a link to move to a new topic and the TOC automatically opens where that new topic is. it shows the TOC highlight moving when you access links from places besides the TOC.
another time that this feature would work - http://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewto ... =9&t=14607

If I close all the books and click a link, the TOC doesn't open. Nothing happens. If they're open I see the highlight move from top to topic though.

Means: You're expecting the TOC pane to come to the front, if e.g. the search pane is in front when you click the link?rmdavidson wrote:If I close all the books and click a link, the TOC doesn't open. Nothing happens. If they're open I see the highlight move from top to topic though.
Wouldn't that be a bit overdone? Just imagine: I have a list of search results in the search pane and I click on one of them. The topic is displayed and the search pane is replaced by the TOC? So if I want to see the next search result I have to switch back to the search pane?
Honestly: I wouldn't like that ...

No, I mean I'm in a topic and the TOC is displayed on the left, I click say a Related Topics ink within the topic, and all it does is hop over to the new topic's title. Only, if the book that Related Topic is in is closed, it doesn't open that book.

Re: Sync TOC: Don't See A Change
aha!
That's a bug. If I activate that function for HTML Help, it jumps to the topic in the TOC and opens all books on the way - I would expect it to work the same way for Webhelp.
A lot of things could influence that behaviour: The browser, the browser version, all sorts of security settings of the browser ...
Maybe you want to check that first with other browsers and/or on other computers and compare the results.
