For the HTML5 output viewed on a webserver with IE9, index items pointing to more than one topic fail to show a pop-up with a list of topics. However, IE9 shows the pop-up when viewing the help with files on the local disk. Also, the pop-up works in Firefox and Chrome.
Is there a way to get this working in IE9? bearing in mind that changing the Internet options on the browser is not acceptable as we cannot ask customers to configure IE to view our files correctly.
HTML5 output - index pop does not work in IE9
Re: HTML5 output - index pop does not work in IE9
If it's working in other browsers and in IE9 on the local disk, then it sounds like it's a setting on the web server or in how the browser is set up for viewing web pages. Does the problem exist on other users' computer when accessing the web server-hosted help, or is it just yours?

Re: HTML5 output - index pop does not work in IE9
The problem exists on other peoples computers with IE and our IT administrator does not believe it is related to the web server as everything works fine in Firefox etc. Therefore, it looks like an issue with IE9, but what could it be?
Re: HTML5 output - index pop does not work in IE9
Sorry, missed that you were talking about IE9. I only use IE under pressure and I'm still on IE8, I believe, so I don't know much about IE9. Although, do you have MOTW enabled on the output? You only need MOTW if you're running the help from your local computer, and having it enabled when the help is on a web server can cause some problems. I don't think I've ever heard the popups as being one of the issues, but it's something to check. Otherwise, if IE9 has modes, you can try switching to another mode to see if the popups start working -- that might point to a style issue which you can probably correct or a JavaScript issue which you might have to talk to MadCap about.

I am suddenly having the same issue using HTMLHelp embedded within the software. It is not popping up to the index topic as it used to.
