Setting font color of Search Bar default text

HTML5 skin.

Need to change font of UI text in Search Bar.

I have managed to change the color of the text when the user is typing in search text.

How do I change the font color of the default word that appears in the Search Bar.

In UI Text tab of the skin dialog, I can change the text itself of the Placeholder named Search Input, but I don't see where to change its visual characteristics. Currently it is all but invisible against my Search Bar background color.

Flare 8 on Windows 7.

Isn't it the Styles > Search Input > Font setting in the HTML5 skin?

I just tested it, changing mine to black bold, and it works in the Preview.

Apparently not...

This is what my Skin Editor styles look like:

This is what that portion of my output looks like before I touch the Search Input field.

This is what the same area looks like when I type "Seek" to replace the default "Search".
Notice that what I type takes on the Search Input style's Font Color (from my first screen-cap, above).

Note how what I typed is much easier to see against the background than the default "Search".
Possibly it works differently for you, or you tweaked an additional setting - which would be the one I'm looking for.
These captures were taken seconds apart.
And it wasn't a Preview. It was a full Build and Publish cycle.

I'm having the exact same problem. Have spent hours and hours trying everything I can think of and there doesn't seem to be a way round this... Anyone??
