TOC Levels - Setting for Word Output

Post by Techno »

I'm going round in circles trying to establish how to limit the levels of TOC output.

At the moment, I have 7 levels to Heading H1 thru H7, and all appear when I generate a Word file. I only want 3 or 4 levels.

You'd think it would be simple, but I just cannot see exactly how to achieve this.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

George.

In the stylesheet, set the mc-heading-level to 0 for the headings you don't want to appear in the generated TOC.

Is there another way to exclude heading levels from the TOC? Because I don't want to show level 4 headings in the TOC, but I want them to appear in the MiniTOC.
Thanks!

If you open the Stylesheet, you've obvioulsy seen where to alter the Styles h1, h2, h3, etc..

Go down to "p" and open that tree. You'll see Styles for MiniTOC1, MiniTOC2, etc., there, where you can set Heading levels for mini TOCs.
