Change Name on Tool Bar

Post by erinep23 »

I am using the default skin on Madcap for Webhelp. I can't figure out how to change the name "TOC" on the top bar and in the General section. My company has a report called "TOC" and we feel it will be confusing to have TOC, so I would like to change the name to "Table of Contents." Any suggestions?

Thanks, Erin

In your skin on the Styles tab > AccordionItem > TOC > General > Label. You can also change the font, etc.

If you want to change the font/size of your TOC entries, its on the styles tab under TocEntry.

Thank you for your quick response. I did as you suggested. When I build the project, the "Table of Contents" appears. However, when I publish to the website, it remains "TOC". Do you know the reason for that, and what I can do fix this issue?

The only thing I can think of right now is to verify that the files were updated on the server. Check that the skin folder has the current copies.

If you have the correct title when you check on your machine, then your settings are correct.

Good luck.

It's probably your browser's cache. Pressing Shift + Refresh or Shift + F5 doesn't always work to force it to load the site from scratch, especially in Firefox. IE seems to be a bit better about loading from scratch when you do a shift-refresh.

For Firefox, I've resorted to having to clear out my history on occasion to make sure that I'm seeing the changes I made to the skin.
