Skin files included in output even with conditions applied

Post by nickatwork »

Hi all,
(WebHelp)
I've got a few different skins for different outputs. To keep my output as light as possible I have conditions set on each skin.
For some reason, Flare will still include these skin folders & files in the Data folder that is produced when building output. It only includes them for WebHelp skins (as im building webhelp), other HTML5 and Mobile skins are not there - any ideas? I dont really want to manually delete them every time, but I'd like to not have them there.

Thanks,
Nick.

Did you double check in your target that you've set those condition types to be excluded?

Yep, otherwise a bunch of other content would be spat out when I run my builds...guess I'll do this in a sample and then send to madcap if it still happens...

*EDIT*

Occurs in sample projects also....reported to madcap.

On the Advanced tab of the Target, be sure the "Generate all skins" box is clear.

Turns out - and I didn't know this - that conditions do not work Project Explorer (only for global project linking). Only way to achieve this is 'Generate All Skins' as mentioned above. A feature request has been submitted.

Thanks,
Nick
