Dear madcaps,
In this particular output we just want pages, no menu, accordian etc so I want the left side pane to be zero width or omitted. I can't work out how to get this I have no accordian or menu itemd but I have a blank side pane In the skin I have made the pane size 0 and I have "Hide NavigationPane on startup" ticked. What else must I do?
Thank you...................... liz

Re: Remove left pane from output
Unselect all tghe accordion items in the General section of the skin and give that a go. The Hide navigation should work, but users can still bring it back.
Re: Remove left pane from output
You only need to select the Hide navigation pane on startup option in the skin. Since you said that doesn't work, I would double-check your target is actually set to use that skin.
To stop people displaying the navigation pane, remove the ToggleNavigationPane button from the WebHelp toolbar and/or Topic toolbar.

Re: Remove left pane from output
I had this same issue a couple of years ago (2010) so I contacted support and here's a copy of the email they sent to me. This works beautifully by the way.
Dear John,
Thank you for contacting MadCap Support. This issue has been addressed before and its currently being handled by our development department. The workaround for now is to set the "Pane size" to 1 (this size is in pixels) The output should work consistently with this size set.
Hopefully, this issue will be addressed in the next version of Flare.
Please let me know if this work for you.
Thank you,
Alvaro Mancero
