I am very new to using snippets and trying to integrate them into an existing project so I can reuse some of the text in other topics.
The first snippet I created, was based on existing text that was within <li> </li> tags. The snippet did not include the tags. This worked perfectly.
The second snippet I was to create was based on existing text a few paragraphs long. However, in this instance, there are different style tags on these paragraphs. The first paragraph is numbered using <li> tags. The next few paragraphs are indented text. The problem here is that I do not want the numbered tags or indents to be part of the snippet. The place that I will be reusing this snippet will not need these things. Is there a way to accomplish this without making more than one snippet out of these paragraphs?
Thanks.
Pam

Re: Using snippets
Hi Pam,
Just go into the snippet itself (Content Explorer > Snippets) and make your adjustments.

Re: Using snippets
Ok, Ive been playing around with this and here is where I am:
On the attached image, there is item number 5 and 6. They are duplicates. Number 5 is the snippet and 6 is text. How do I get the numbered item 5 to show at the top of the snippet rather than the bottom?

Re: Using snippets
You can't. It's a quirk of the XML Editor. But when you generate the output, the list item's number will be in the right place. (I think the same is true if you preview the topic.) In short, don't worry about it while editing!Pamb10 wrote:How do I get the numbered item 5 to show at the top of the snippet rather than the bottom?

Thank you! It did preview fine. Did not even think to check that.
