My writing group is new to Flare and finding our way around. We imported many topics from a FM project and made all the cautions, warnings, and notices “snippets†for easy reuse. All worked fine until we fiddled with the table style—changing from the default “AnchoredBorder.css†to a newly created table style. Since then, if the topic contains several Snippets, they seem to disappear somewhere off the bottom of the page (in Print layout view only!) and do not flow to the next column. However, when I preview the topic, they’re all displayed and flow to the next column as desgined. They also all appear as expected in Web layout view. It seems to be isolated to Print layout view in the XML Editor. The Page Layout for Print output uses a 2-column page.
Here’s the interesting thing, if I add a P tag (press Enter) in Print layout view, before the first table (after the header), all tables are displayed in the two columns as expected. This is baffling. I tested changing the table style back to the original, but get the same result—the last few snippets seem to be buried somewhere. I also tested just adding a block of plain text (P tag). Text tags flow fine, so it seems to be related to the table(s) or the relationship between the table style and page layout. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Tables not flowing to next column in Print layout
Re: Tables not flowing to next column in Print layout
Look at the table settings in the stylesheet, for printed output I believe. You can set how the table breaks or doesn't.
