Where does Flare put the backup of the local copy?

Post by Bahbert »

After resolving conflicts between two versions of the same file, where does Flare put the backup of the local copy it says it creates? The merge messed up the file and I need to refer back to my original changes, but I can't find the backup anywhere (and naturally I didn't notice the file's location prior to clicking OK).

Fastest way may be to search the local drive for a file name of a topic.

I was just about to try that when I finally stumbled over mention of a Backups window pane in the help file. I went to the View ribbon (this is Flare 8 ) and lo and behold, there it was. I'd never known it was there... but now that I do (and that you can make temporary back-ups of topics), I think I'll be using it more.

Good that you found it. Just to mention, Flare 8 does not necessarily mean dysfunctional ribbon. You can turn on the usable menu strip if you want to.
