In my documentation, I list figure numbers. I would like to have 2 numbering styles in my stylesheet that are global unto themselves. This way, when I compile and print something, each style will auto generate the numbers that I need and (theoretically) the Figure number in the text and the figure number associated with the image will correlate.
i.e.
This is the text that I will use (Figure xxx).
Figure xxx (the style for this is created out of an h6 style and has global numbering)
{Image will be right here.}
I also need to figure out how to make sure that my figure number style can be placed wherever I would like to place it within my text--typically at the end of a sentence. On rare occasions, it will need to be in the middle. I have tried numbering with the "p" style and with a "div" tag. I have negotiated the placement of the style. Is this even something that may be done? If not, what do others do?
Thank you!

Re: Figure Number Tag That Each Follow Own "Global" Style
You need a style for the figure title and an xref style for the cross-references you'll make to the figures. Someone had a similar question recently. Check out http://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewto ... 10&t=15757.
