Hello,
I'm a new Flare user and I have a problem with FrameMaker output.
I use Flare 8.1.2 and FrameMaker 9.
It is no problem to build the output but if there is a table included it does not fit to the page size.
All columns are there, but only the first column is visible in FrameMaker because the width of the column is greater than the page layout (e.g. width of 74" is set in FrameMaker for the first column).
The table size in Flare is set using AutoFit to window: 100%. And I use a table style (I testet it without the style but it has no effect).
The page layout is set using the Master Page Layout setting in the target (I testet page layout settings in the TOC but also no effect).
Any idea what I have to do?
Many thanks.
Ruth
Table in FrameMaker output does not fit to page
Re: Table in FrameMaker output does not fit to page
Try setting the table in Flare to Fit to Contents. I think the 100% on Fit to Window is the culprit, based on my experience with tables.
Re: Table in FrameMaker output does not fit to page
Hi Diana,
thank you for your advice.
I tested it but is has no effect. The size of the first column is still greater than the page.
Should be like this:
Any other suggestions?

Re: Table in FrameMaker output does not fit to page
Try resetting the table formatting. Right-click the table block and select Table Style > Reset Table Style. Then reapply the table style.
Let me know how that works.

Re: Table in FrameMaker output does not fit to page
Hi Diana,
the tables shown in the example do not have any table formatting (nothing to reset).
For test purposes, I created several new tables and tested them with and without tables formats.
Nothing works.
Hmm... I think I have to to find a workaround to use the PDF output in any way. Every table looks fine in the PDF output.
Thank you for your help.
