Is there any way that I can easily view the style class that has been applied to my content? Sometimes if I select the content, the style class will be selected in the Styles window, but often it isn't. I can see the tag in the block view at the left hand side of the editor, but the only way I can find out the style class is to look at content in the XML Text Editor. This is very tedious indeed.

How can I view the style clthat has been applied to my text?
Sorry if this is a really silly or obvious question, or if it's been asked before, but I'm a self-taught Flare newbie and this is driving me mad.

With the Home ribbon displayed, select the entire span (double-click for a single word). The class displays in the Style menu of the Styles section. This works with both Tags On and Tags Off, although it's easier to select the span in Tags On mode. Just click the <span+> tag (taking care not to collapse the span), or the closing </span> tag.

If you've applied the class to the whole tag, like the paragraph tag, then the class name will be displayed at the top of the Styles pane. If you put your cursor in between opening and closing tags, I can't remember if it shows in the Styles pane or not. I don't think it does, because I recall right-clicking on the span tag along the top of the XML Editor and viewing the Class fly-out window to see which class was selected, so that's an alternative to opening the topic in the Internal Text Editor.

Thanks - Lisa's reply is just what I wanted.
I forgot to say, I'm using Flare 7, so I don't have a ribbon yet!

Well ... two things to say:kwag_myers wrote:With the Home ribbon displayed, select the entire span (double-click for a single word). The class displays in the Style menu of the Styles section.
1.
You don't need Flare 8, you can also see that in Flare 7 and I think even in Flare 6. - Just select the span and - voilà : 2. Nice trick I accidentally came across:
You can easily select the span by clicking on a word in the span, don't move the mouse at all, click again and again until the span is selected - not quickly like in a doubleclick, but at normal speed, one click after the other. - With every click the selection grows by one level and the wanted span is one of those levels. As long as you don't move the mouse you can click time after time again - up to the html level when the whole topic is selected. If you are at that level and click once more you're back to having set the cursor - it's a cycle.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thanks again. It's obvious now you point it out.
I like your tip for selecting content too. That will be very useful.
