Flare lets you insert bookmarks into snippets. But when you create a cross-reference to a bookmarked snippet, the page number in the cross-reference text doesn't get updated - it stays at 'page 1' even though the snippet may start on page 34 in the PDF.
And Flare reports an error about: "Cross-referenced topic is not part of TOC".
I have about 12 cross-references to bookmarked snippets and would like to be able to show the correct page number. Does anyone know if this is possible. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?
I'm using Flare 8.1 to produce PDF output.
Thanks
Helen

Re: Crossrefs to bookmarks in snippets don't give correct pageno
How are you addressing the bookmarks within the snippets with your cross-reference? A bookmark within a snippet is hidden from the select bookmark dialog, at least in Flare 7. Converting the snippet to text makes the bookmark visible but kind of defeats the object of a snippet...
Re: Crossrefs to bookmarks in snippets don't give correct pageno
In Flare 8, bookmarks in snippets are visible in the 'Insert Cross-Reference' dialog box.
When I build the PDF I get the error about cross-referenced topic not being part of the TOC, but when I open the PDF and click on the cross-reference it takes me to the correct location. The problem is that the page number is shown as 1 instead of the correct page number.
Might be a bug but thought I'd ask here first incase it's user error.

I've logged this as a bug.
