Is it possible to specify a toc item icon to use by default

Hello all

I'm trying to set up our style sheet so that when we add a new item to a TOC, the icon for the item is the book or file with red asterisk icon. I can't see anything obvious that relates to this setting...is it possible to define this via the stylesheet? Or do we have to set it manually for each TOC entry?

Right-click the item in the TOC, select Properties, then set Mark as New to Yes.

Thanks Dave, but doesn't that setting just apply the Mark as New style to each item after I've added it? I wanted to make it so that all new TOC items would have the asterisk automatically, so that new content always has the asterisk, even if the author has forgotten to set Mark as New.

Yep, you have to set what is and isn't new; whether you use mark as new, or a TocEntry style.

I'm not sure how this would work automatically; i.e. how would Flare know which items are supposed to be new, and at what point items are no longer new.

I see what you mean...it would have to have some sort of record of what was included in the previous build of a target and be able to compare that to the new build. Asking a bit too much perhaps!
