Change Hover Color on TOC

When a mouse hovers over the topics in my TOC, the color turns red. How can I change this color? Also, when a topic is selected, the background turns white with the font remaining white, disallowing viewers to see which topic they are viewing. How can I change the background and/or font color after the topic has been selected?

So your link really worked. For awhile. Then I downloaded the latest release, and it doesn't work anymore. Is there another technique?

Sorry, but I have no idea what other workarounds there might be. I haven't had the need to change the TOC color myself, but I was aware of the knowledge base article, and that's why I offered the link to it.

Anyone else have an idea??

What output are you building -- WebHelp, HTML5, HTML (.chm)?

Are you trying to change it at the Flare program level so it affects all projects, or are you just doing it to the current project after you build the output?

Regardless of which you're doing, instead of modifying MadCapToc.js, try modifying MadCapAll.js. Note that you'll have to change the second occurrence of #dddddd in MadCapAll.js, not the first occurrence.

Okay, thank you for that, because it fixed something I also wanted to change, which is the highlight of the item after it has been selected. But the red continues to appear when I am hovering over the options. I need to change that color too.

I am attaching a screen shot of what I mean. Your last instruction allowed me to highlight the topic that I am in as orange (which is something else I wanted), but right now I am hovering over the topic that is red. And I don't want red. I want to use a different color.
