Random Mini-TOC - 1 in entire WebHelp

Post by rmdavidson »

I was going through my WebHelp and found one topic that has what appears to be a mini-TOC at the bottom. We don't use mini-TOCs in our Help, just Related Topic links. However, some topics have the green previous/next arrows at the bottom as well. This mini-TOC is new however. Any ideas where it came from?

I have my topic, then there's an underline across the page followed by black text that is apparently a link, then there's the arrows.

There presumably must be a mini-TOC proxy in either the topic itself, or the master page used by the topic.

The mini-TOC is only included if the topic is in the TOC, so it might 'appear' if you've just added the topic to the TOC.

I kept playing with it and found out it showed up because there was only one topic under the book and the book was linked to a topic as well although I think it is more that the book itself links to something.

When I added the link as a subtopic under that book there was no mini-TOC with that link, but clicking on the book there was. I removed the link from the book and left it as two links under that book and there is no mini-TOC. So whenever the book doesn't have a link there isn't a mini-TOC.
