Can you open a Flare topic oustide the context of a project?

Post by mel_w »

Hi,
Can I open an HTM file created in Flare in Flare without opening it within the context of a project? (In other words, without opening its associated project or copying it to an existing project?)
Thanks.

Looks like it needs to be associated with a project in order to open it within Flare. I tried copying a file to a location outside of a top-level project folder and opening it and it told me I had to associate it with a project and it gave me the option to select a project to copy the file to. So the only workaround would be to keep a temp or trash project that you could use to throw files into if you needed to look at them inside Flare but outside of their originating project.

That's if you want to view the topic in the WYSIWYG environment. If you just want to view the page-behind (XHTML) code, then you can right-click on a file and select Open with > Notepad to see the code in the topic.
