Search results in WebHelp in IE not being scrolled to

Post by mel_w »

Hi,
When I type a search term in the search box in WebHelp and then open a topic that appears as a result of the search, I'd expect that the topic open scrolled to the search term, and that the search term would be highlighted.

This works fine for me in Firefox on Windows, but in IE on Windows the topic opens, but doesn't scroll to the first instance of the search term. I have to manually scroll down to see the highlighted search terms. Any idea what might be going on?
Thanks!

Hi,
I know I'm replying to an old post but I am using Flare 10 and this is still an issue in IE 11 and Chrome.

Is anyone else having this same issue?

Can the Madcap team shed any light on the functionality of this feature?

Thanks.

Hi,
Has anyone got a response to this? This is a key feature that in my opinion is not fit for purpose.

Many thanks
Nicola.

Hi Nicola,

This is a peer support forum.

Although it is hosted by Madcap, and their support staff drop by from time to time and provide valuable answers, by and large it is only a user forum.

If you find a bug, or identify a feature you think will improve the product, you can use the URL https://www.madcapsoftware.com/feedback/bugs.aspx to contact Madcap. :D
