We are unhappy with the quality of the HTML5 output (too many features missing or not working correctly) so wish to switch to WebHelp. This seems straight-forward enough, but we are uncertain about the possible effect on context-sensitive help. Currently, we have an alias file with identifiers that are grouped in blocks - so one part of our project uses the range 1-100000, another part uses the range 100001-200000 and so on. If we create a WebHelp output instead of HTML5, will we need to rework the alias file or will it work exactly the same is it did in HTML5?
I can't build an output right now, otherwise I would test it myself. Has anyone else gone from HTML5 to WebHelp? If so, were there any problems?

The alias file would be the same, so you'd use the same identifiers/values in the CSH call.
However, if you're using the URL method for CSH calls, then the format of the URL is different between WebHelp and HTML5 help, so you'd need to change that in your application.

Thanks Dave. I think we use the identifiers, so it should be okay.
