I would like to use a non-standard font for the accordionTitle text, so was thinking the best way to do this would be to use transparent PNGs for all the titles (Table of Contents, Index, etc...). Is this possible? In the style editor, I only see an option to change the font.
Or better yet, is it possible to embed fonts in web pages for non-HTML5 output? I'm using WebHelp.
Thanks!

Yes, you can. However, the problem I ran into was with the Toolbar Item class name, for some reason I was never able to determine, would show in the toolbar. My work-around was to name the class with a period and I played around with margins, padding, etc. until the period displayed below the toolbar. If I were to increase the toolbar height the period would show.

Darn. That won't let me change each title, though. For instance, "Table of Contents" as an image can't be used for the ToC accordion selection, etc... It would only let me change the image that shows up for all selections.jbkalla wrote:Great! Thanks! I'll try that!kwag_myers wrote:Yes, you can...

Re: Change AccordionTitle to Image?
Ah, sorry. To change the title font which displays in the toolbar, go to Styles > ToolbarItem > AccordionTitle and change the FontFamily property. If the font is listed in the popup under Installed Fonts, it should embed the font. To change the title font of each accordion label, which display in the lower left of the screen, go to the AccordionItem style. Changing the FontFamily property should cascade to all the labels, so you don't have to edit each item.
I tried changing these titles to an image manually (in a text editor) to no avail. Hopefully, changing the font gets you the desired results.

So even on a computer without that specific font, it should display that font because it's embedded? I didn't think that would happen. I guess I was mistaken!kwag_myers wrote:Ah, sorry. No, it doesn't embed the font. So if you choose that font, make sure you also include some other common alternative fonts.jbkalla wrote:So even on a computer without that specific font, it should display that font because it's embedded? I didn't think that would happen.
I don't think there's a simple way to change the top accordion heading to an image. (You can use the skin to set icons/backgrounds for the accordions themselves though.)

OK. Thanks! No big deal, I guess. It's just that there are so many ways to customize, but then there are parts that are left out.Dave Lee wrote:No, it doesn't embed the font.
