How to move and reassign Resources?

Post by kevinmcl »

Three existing projects, on two different servers, will be coming together within a year or so, as the products are aligned.

I need to have them share a common Resources folder, with images, snippets, etc.

In the Properties dialog for the Resources folder, the "Location:" field is grey and won't allow me to change its content.

How can I get three existing projects to share a central Resources folder (where I will move files from all three projects) ?

Or, to start with, how can I - using the Flare interface - move the Resources file for one project outside of that project's Content folder, where it was [automatically?] created? Where's the switch to unlock?

I have Flare 8.2 on a Windows Server 2008 instance.

I'd suggest looking at external resources to synchronise project files with an external folder; or use project imports (also known as global project linking).

Is there a wasy to have an External Resource in a subversion repository? I have tried using the URL to the subversion site, like the Source Binding, however, it will not take it.

Any help on this?

Not that I'm aware of; the files in source control would need to be available on a local or network drive.
