I struggled a lot with getting connection with the remote connection.
So, I thought maybe this can help some other MadCap users too.
What I did set in the target file:
Type: SFTP
Server
Host Name: logfids (the same as with PuTTY)
Login Credentials...
Username: logfids (in PuTTY this is the Auto-login username in the category Connection>Data)
Password: no password is set
SFTP settings
Server Validation: Public Key File
Hosts File: Here I have set the pub file which also resides at the remote server logfids using the Browse button
Authentication: Public Key
Key File: Here I have set (using the Browse button) the ppk file, which is the same as PuTTY (category Connection>SSH>Auth)
Key Password: Here I entered the same password as I need to use with PuTTY
Destination
Not relevant but here I entered the directory on the remote server where I have to publish my stuff
In this situation I got an Authentication failure: the connection did not work.
Then I thought: I cannot use a pub file in PuTTY. So, why should I set it.
And I changed the Server Validation: to None
And then it worked.
