Publish to IIS web server but get SharePoint error

I originally attempted to publish to a Sharepoint server, but my team decided to set up a new web server that I should publish to instead.

I enter the directory to which I want to publish into the Destination I've set up for this purpose. When I try to publish to the IIS server, I get this message:

MadCap Flare V7
Unable to connect to http://usscwww291/techpub/. Please make sure you have connected to this server in SharePoint Explorer.

I have removed all prior connections to SharePoint in the SharePoint explorer, and closed all Sharepoint processes on my computer prior to publishing.

The destination to which I am trying to publish exists and can be viewed in a web browser.

Any suggestions on how I can resolve this error and publish to my web server?

If your publishing to a webserver, be sure to set the destination to use FTP.
The team that set up the server should be able to give you the FTP information.
