Does anyone have any experience running Flare v8 on Windows 7 (64-bit) under Parallels 8 on a Mac?
I ran a similar setup, but with 32-bit Windows, and it ran fine. Now, Flare seems to take 5-10 seconds for every input/button press. It's simply unusable. The System Requirements clearly state that the 64-bit version of Windows 7 is usable.
Any ideas? I have played around with the CPUs on Parallels, as well as the RAM, to no avail.

Re: Flare 8 and Win7-64 on Parallels
I have two friends who both were running Flare on Windows (not sure which OS) on Parallels on MacBook Pros. One was 32-bit, the other was 64-bit Windows. Both of these folks moved to VMware. Apparently one of them learned (not sure where) that Parallels doesn't properly handle the latest .NET framework.
I use Flare 8 and Flare 9 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on VMware on a MacBook Pro with no problems.

RETIRED, but still fond of all the Flare friends I've made. See you around now and then!

It ran fine on Parallels 8 for me. The only thing that's changed is going from 32- to 64-bit Windows 7, and going from a 2007 MacBook Pro to a 2013 MacBook Pro Retina.Nita Beck wrote:I have two friends who both were running Flare on Windows (not sure which OS) on Parallels on MacBook Pros. I installed Windows 8 64-bit just to see if that would make a difference. Well, it does. Both Flare 8 and 9 work just fine; when I press a button it actually responds within 5 seconds, unlike Flare 8 on Win 7 x64.
Windows 7 is a Boot Camp installation, whereas Windows 8 is an actual VM within Parallels.
