WebHelp TOC Hidden

Post by TommyC »

Hi,
I'm outputting my project to WebHelp. The generated Help displays my Welcome topic but the TOC is not being displayed. As the Help is loading I can see the shape of the TOC area but then the Welcome topic covers the entire window area. If I position my mouse pointer to the left of the topic and drag across to the right I can display the TOC area.
I'd imagine that there is a setting somewhere that controls this but I can't find it and would appreciate any help on this.
I'm on Flare v9.
Thanks,
Tommy

I had the exact same problem after upgrading to Flare 9.1 (though I don't know if it was due to something I did or a change with the upgrade).

To fix it, open your WebHelp's skin and click the WebHelp Setup tab. In the Navigation Pane section, check the Pane Size. Mine was set at 0 px.

Thanks Bahbert, yep mine was set to 0px too so I've fixed it (and like you this seems to have been defaulted to zero following the upgrade to 9.1).
Really appreciate the help.
All the best,
Tommy

According to tech support, it wasn't that the default changed; it was that the intrepration of the value 0 that changed. Here is what they told me.

"In v8, a 0px Pane size would cause Flare to build the Navigation Pane with a default 200px size. In v9, this behavior changes slightly and Flare builds sets the AccordianTitle style for the skin to 0 px, but keeps the rest of the Navigation Pane at 200px."
