I am adding text to a html5 webguide project. I am having two issues (I am using Flare 9.1.1 on Windows):
1. I've clicked inside a sentence (no inserts or such) in the XML editor, type away for a word or two, then Flare just quits responding; I've typed five more words and not a single one appears on the screen. If I switch to the Text Editor view, I can enter text just fine (starting from scratch; the words I wrote but which never appeared aren't in the text editor). However of course I don't want to stay in the text editor view forever.
2. I backspace or highlight and delete text in the XML Editor, then the cursor changes to a vertical line, and again no longer lets me type new text in.
What is going on?
Thanks.

Re: Entering text/cursor problems
I've never seen that kind of behavior before. You might consider opening a support ticket.

Re: Entering text/cursor problems
In case anyone else gets this problem, here is what solved it (thanks to the Support guy!):
deleting the "CatapultMdiEditor" folder by following the steps below. This essentially resets the Flare user interface.
If you have any Layouts you wish to save, go into the CatapultMdiEditor folder and please save the layouts to a different location.
Go to:
1. C:\Users\[Your User]\Appdata (make sure hidden files and folders are turned on)\Roaming\Madcapsoftware\Flare 2. The folder should be within the Flare directory.
3. Delete the CatapultMdiEditor folder
4. Restart flare and try again.
