After two or three clicks into navigating around a Webhelp project in IE10, the topics start opening up in the left pane instead of the right pane. I lose the TOC and cant navigate around anymore.
Anyone else experience this and have a fix or is IE10 just not supported for Webhelp?
TIA,
Greg

Any difference when you enable quirks mode...also called "compatibility mode" although that is a misnomer unless you consider IE6/7/8 the norm?

No problems with IE9 that I have seen so far.RamonS wrote:Any difference when you enable quirks mode...also called "compatibility mode" although that is a misnomer unless you consider IE6/7/8 the norm?
Is there such thing as Release Notes for Webhelp that would tell me what limitations or bugs exist in different versions so i don't have to test every feature in every version myself?
Re: Webhelp and IE10
There's a known issue with IE10 in compatibility mode; there's a meta tag you can add to the output to prevent it. See discussion here:

It would be really nice to see a fix for this soon. Manually editing output files each time is not really a viable option. IE10 is a major browser and should be supported by current output formats.
My issue is with the HTML5 target; see the KB entry at http://kb.madcapsoftware.com/mobile/Adv ... tyView.htm regarding the meta tag to add.

Re: Webhelp and IE10
I was experiencing this problem recently for a Web help system deployed on a Web server, when the help was built by Flare 6. Other Web help systems on the same Web server, built by Flare 9 (whatever the most recent minor version is) were fine. I have a batch file that builds the help systems automatically. I changed the batch file to build the help with Flare 9 and the problem has gone away.
Could it be the version of Flare you are using?
