Hyperlink with Bookmarks
Hi....relatively new to Flare here. Originally posted this to Webhelp Mobile....sorry. I'm developing online help and need to have hyperlinks that go to a file with a bookmark on a page within the same project. Sounds simple enough. I created a few of these and they worked just fine when I viewed the output locally. When I copied all files to a network drive (which is where others will view it) the link works, but the bookmark do not. When I click the link, the hyperlinked page "blinks" quickly, then goes to the top of the page. I looked at the code and it all seems fine. Being new to Flare, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, has anything to do with network settings, or something else. I tried two different servers on the network and neither of them work properly. Really stumping me......

Re: Hyperlink with Bookmarks
The easiest and quickest way to do is to drag the topic in which the bookmark is defined from the Content Explorer to the location in your topic.
Then within the link right-click and select Edit Cross-Reference.
In the window Insert Cross-Reference click the Bookmark button below list with topics (the one you clicked is high-lighted) and select the bookmark the bookmark you need.
How it looks like is very much depending how you create the style for the MadCap | xref.
For normal use I have set the mc-format to {paratext} for Medium:(Default) and for Medium: print {u}{color blue}{paratext}{/color}{/u} {i}(described {pageref}){/i}
This ends up in a normal link in my WebHelp and my PDF as a link extended with: (described on page x).
Then within the link right-click and select Edit Cross-Reference.
