Could not establish Trust Relationship

Post by Joeuser182 »

Never have installed Madcap Flare before - when I go to activate I get the error "The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS channel" Installing on Server 2008 R2. Not sure where to go to solve this error.

Best option is to call support.

Wait, you're trying to install Flare, the authoring application, on a server and not a workstation? Or are you trying to install Flare output on the server? Or are you trying to install Pulse or Feedback on the server?

I'm going to take a wild guess (not enough info provided), you are installing Flare the Server via a remote connection?

Actually, I just realized that you have already installed Flare but you cannot activate the software. Still, this error is generally related to a certificate error with the server and shouldn't be related to Flare. I'm just guessing at this point though. :?:
