Hi all,
I'm a new user of Flare, and this forum appears to contain a lot of useful information on issues that are not always clear to me from Flare's help itself. However, I haven't figured out a way to search the forum for longer phrases - is there any possible way to do this?
For example, I'm trying to find out if there's a thread on how to set a style for the next paragraph following another style (which was easy in Word). Flare has a help page named "setting a next style", but since those instructions did not work for me, I tried to search the forum for "setting a next style". All I get is "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: next setting style a." I can't figure out how to make the search feature understand that I want these words in that particular order, not just randomly scattered within the text. Enclosing the phrase in quotes does not seem to work, nor does adding + signs to the words. This is getting rather frustrating, since a lot the issues I try to search for naturally consist of combinations of words common to Flare. Any helpful hints?
Thanks,
Sarianna
Newbie question about using this forum
Re: Newbie question about using this forum
The forum search isn't that good.
I produced a search plugin, which is a quick way to do a Google search of the forums.

The forum search is the only thing about Flare that is really bad. The forums rock. Flare rocks. The forum search, not so much.

Thank you Dave, the plugin does exactly what I wanted!
This forum is really great, but just browsing through the topics looking for what I need often gets me sidetracked into reading about other interesting things and I forget what it was I actually came looking for
. There's so much to learn about Flare.
