Hello,
I am working in Flare V9 in an HTML5 skin.
I want to format the links in the navigation panel, but no matter what I change, it doesn't seem to edit the right links. Can someone please tell me which attributes to edit?
Example: Links are blue, but I want them to be a different color. Same with visited links; they're purple, but I would like to change this color.
Thanks!

Re: Formatting Navigation Panel Links in Skins
Hi, are you editing the main stylesheet or the skin stylesheet? I think the stuff you need is in the skin stylesheet. You can access it by double-clicking the skin the Project explorer, then click Styles in the options list on the left of the skin config window. There you'll find a list of styles that you can edit. Click a style, and Flare will provide a pointer to the elements that the style controls (in the graphic below), and the properties appear to the right of styles box. I am in the middle of doing this myself.

Tom,
I have tried editing both stylesheets with no luck. In the HTML5 skin stylesheet, when I try editing the Navigation Link/Panel styles, it only seems to change the unlinked books. It doesn't appear to be changing the active book and topic links. Have you gotten it to work? If yes, which styles did you edit to do so? Thanks!

I think you have to edit the Navigation.htm file, either pre-build in C:\Program Files\MadCap Software\MadCap Flare V9\Flare.app\Resources\WebHelp\Default.flwht (which affects all projects), or post-build in the Skin folder of your output. I use this second method and have an edited copy in another directory where I can copy it over after a build using a VBScript, which I've posted here.

Hi, I tweaked the font and background settings for the Nav Items styles in the skin:

Tom,
Those weren't exactly what I wanted at first, but I've discovered after tweaking those attributes again, that it does indeed look better than my original idea. Thanks for your help! I appreciate all the replies.

No problem, glad to help a little bit. If you can post a mock-up of what you want to achieve, maybe we can have a go at it.
