Hi,
I have a problem with unliked books. Se the attached file.
The book contains 2 or more pages but there is no content in the book itself (the Three books CSR, Kontrolluppgift and Fora).
What do I do? It seems as if the books are linked to the main pages which is incorrect.
I'm new to MadCap and the person who created this Project has left the company.
Thanks, Sofie Siegers

Re: Unlinked books
Hi Sofie,
the unlinked books are not necessarily a problem. I use unlinked books on purpose in some cases. They are kind of a placeholder or grouping option in that case. In the target on the Advanced tab, under Generated TOC, I check "Inject headings for unlinked books in TOC" to use the name of the book as a chapter name.
For example, I have a handful of appendices, that I use in several outputs. I cannot put the heading "Appendix" in either of them, because I never know if that specific appendix topic will be in there and whether it will be in the first place. So I use an unliked book with the name of "Appendix" and group the appendices below it. I hope this makes sense, if not please ask.
Back to your problem - it might not be a problem unless you really miss content, that should be linked to the book.

Re: Unlinked books
Thanks Lydia, that was of great help. I don't miss content so it's not a problem then.
