HTML5 Movie Experience
HTML5 Movie Experience
Has anyone ever run into any issues when working with the multimedia formats (specifically the HTML5 Movie option)? I used to use an iFrame embed code for my product videos to embed them in the text editor of my individual Flare topics (they were hosted on a vimeo account) and they worked fine. Now they will no longer load when the help webpage is opened (there sometimes is a box where the video should be but nothing plays). So I'm looking for alternate solutions and want to know if anyone has experienced any limitations with using Flare's internal multimedia tools for embedding videos - such as have any of your users had trouble viewing the video? Any response's would be greatly appreciated!

Re: HTML5 Movie Experience
I've just been trying to work with embedding movies in my html5 output, and don't find the way Flare handles the output particularly appealing. First, the steps you have to take, and the results, will vary depending on what version of Flare you're using, and what your output is, so without knowing that, trying to guess at what your issues are is only a wild guess.
And Flare treats different movie formats differently, so your steps and results will vary depending on whether you're embedding a Mimic movie, html5, Silverlight, etc.
Until you have that information, it's impossible to say what the challenges may be.

I'm having a similar issue and haven't been able to find a solution. I have successfully embedded videos (.wmv) into togglers and I can view them in both IE and Chrome. However, in Chrome, the video overlaps my page heading when I scroll the page. I found a suggestion in a blog to include ?wmode=opaque in the link to the video. When I view the source on my page, it looks like Flare already adds that to the link. I've tried setting the z-index, position, etc., etc. both on my style and the video itself; but, I have had no luck--the video still overlaps when scrolling. Again...the issue is in Chrome only; IE works fine. Any suggestions?
