Hello, I am trying to remove the default blue highlighted box shadow that surrounds the Next Topic / Previous Topic toolbar buttons (upon click) in WebHelp by default.
It does not seem that the css classes of these buttons are impacted at all before and after click, so I am at a loss as to where this visual effect is coming from.
Thanks for any tips here!
Winston

Yes, this is bugging me, too. What are our options here?
Is the solution to replace these items with custom buttons of some kind?

Re: Remove blue highlight Next Topic / Previous Topic
The skin in the screenshot looks like HTML5 help, but doesn't look like the Default/Light HTML5 skins supplied with Flare.
I've never seen a blue highlight on HTML5 toolbar buttons, and there's no actual setting in HTML5 skins for a button selected (or hover) state.
One idea - could the highlight come from the browser defaults; i.e. does the blue highlight appear in all browsers, or just one?

Yes, this is HTML5. You're right about the browser – I hadn't noticed that. It's only happens in Chrome, and not in Firefox or Explorer.
What kind of default is this? How can I keep my Chrome users from seeing this strange effect?

Ok, I've discovered a solution for this in Chrome. I had assumed it was box-shadow, but the property is in fact "outline."

Where do you specify this property?winstoncb wrote:Ok, I've discovered a solution for this in Chrome. I had assumed it was box-shadow, but the property is in fact "outline."
