Runtime script error starting Flare 8.

Hello folks. I run 64-bit Win7 on my boot-camped 27" iMac. I recently reformatted my partition and installed 64-bit Win 7. Previously I had 32-bit Win7 installed and that's what I used to run Flare 8 on. I didn't have any problems installing or running Flare 8 before.

On my 64-bit OS I didn't have any problems installing Flare 8 and where there were prompts I simply accepted the defaults. I've not attempted to change any settings within Flare. Now, every time I start Flare 8 I get the error in my screenshot. Does anyone know what I can do to get things to work without error? When I start Flare it displays the splash image and then it starts to load the IDE and that's when the error is displayed. It dismisses after a couple of clicks and the IDE seems responsive but I don't know for sure if anything is "broken". I know Flare 8 is old news now and I don't have any maintenance but maybe someone has experienced the same problem and can advise me if there's a way to fix it?

I am having exactly the same problem here, it's a real pain. Did you find an answer?

Do you have IE11 installed? There were posts recently that this was the cause for this kind of error.

I had a look round and this indeed was the issue. I had IE11 installed. So, to everyone who has this problem, uninstall IE11 and this will fix the issue. Happy days.
