Mobile Output um...Skin?

I'm a new Flare user. I'm trying to get the mobile output to open directly into a topic, and not the TOC. Can I do this?

I don't think so. The Output Type Comparison Table (find it at the bottom of Features > WebHelp Outputs > WebHelp Mobile Output > About WebHelp Mobile Output) does not have a checkmark for the Startup topic row in the Mobile column ...

WOW, if I hadn't stumbled on this topic, I would never have thought to look in the location you pointed out for the comparison table for outputs.
So, if the "About box" is supported, how do I put any more information than a logo in the about box?
Does anyone know how to add a master page footer for example to an about box or all topics?
The table shows that master pages are supported but how are they implemented?

Once you've created a master page, you can set in in the (Mobile) target on the Advanced tab.
