Index pane hanging in IE8/9 and Chrome
Is anyone else seeing this? The WebHelp displays fine but the Index pane just hangs with a progress bar. ToC, Glossary, Search, all OK.

Re: Index pane hanging in IE8/9 and Chrome
I tried the Flare WebHelp from http://webhelp.madcapsoftware.com/flare9/Default.htm using the current version of Chrome and that works fine. Give it a try and see if that makes any difference. If the Flare help works then it is something with your project or how it is served up. If the Flare help does not work then have look if any JavaScript is blocked.
As far as IE8/9 goes...IE9 is the highest IE version available on Vista. I think XP is limited to IE8, but XP is basically EOL by April and nobody uses Vista. My advice is to simply ignore these outdated and no longer maintained IE versions. The Windows versions in use will remain Win 7 and Win 8.x and both run IE11. Some users might disagree, but as far as IE goes there is no reason not to run a fairly current Windows version with IE11. Believe me, the moronic implementation of HTML and JS in IE11 will give you enough headaches, no need to make your life miserable supporting IE versions that are dead for all practical purposes.
