output of Tables not correct in diff formats

Post by KHupp »

I have a table that when I do a PDF, it shows up correcting, but when I do Word, HTML or HTML Help, it shows up wrong.
(see images)

Any ideas?

I'd be looking for margin-top or padding-top being set on my stylesheet. It might also be medium based. Open the stylesheet in the text editor and search for each property.

Don't give up the drink entirely!

I looked at all the margin-tops and padding in my style sheets and while searching found this...
In style sheets, I went to the properties of the style for the text that is in the table. Under the "Paragraph" tab, I found that spacing was set to Length: 1.15 (em) for Before and After.
I set them to both to "0" and that fixed the issue. The question I have is in all mediums it was the same (Length: 1.15 (em)), so why in PDF did it turn out right but all others not? weird...

Now this leads to another issue... in PDF and Word, I want this table centered, but in HTML I want it Left Justified.
I tried mediums by setting the default to Center and then setting the non-print to left, but that seems to reset all mediums to left. It won't let me set the mediums independent of each other...
How do I set up my tables to react the way I want?
pdf/word - center
html - left
