Crossref doesn't display in HTML5 target

Post by Sharpras »

I've used a cross-reference to a bookmarked step <li> with (paranumonly) set. It works fine in the PDF output but nothing displays in the HTML5 output. In the style sheet, the MadCap|xref for this particular class is set the same for print and non-print (and default). I am missing something? Do cross-refs not work in HTML5 (IE 10)?
Thanks...

If you look at the target of your xref, is the number for the list item displayed properly there? In other words, does Flare have a number to insert for the xref? The reason I ask is because another post reports problems with some numbered lists in Flare 10 and HTML5 http://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewto ... =9&t=18709, so I wondered if this was related.

Yes, Marjorie, it is similar to HKNIX's post.
The <li> step number appears and is a hyperlink in the PDF output, but no number/link appears in the HTML5 output. (Flare 10)
Sounds like it might be a Flare bug.

It's probably worth reporting it then, I'd say. :-)

This has been changed to a Feature Request.
I have been informed that there is a difference between a style with with Paragraph numbers (paranums) set and an ordered list style <li>.
Cross references currently only work with the former.
