Condition Tags in Contributor

Post by smajors »

I'm using the free review mode of Contributor and I thought it would apply the conditions but it really doesn't. For example, I have a condition tag "Retire" that means that content can be deleted or no longer applies but we keep it in the topic as a condition in case we ever need to add it back in. I was hoping the text with this condition wouldn't appear in Contributor but it does. For users who don't know what our conditions are and are reviewing the topics, they wouldn't know what the condition means.

I may just have to delete this content for review and add it back in or just completely remove it.

With what version of Flare was the review package that you're viewing in Contributor prepared? If it's Flare 10, there is a new feature that allows one to include or exclude content by condition in review packages based on "target expressions." The reviewers using Contributor will see only the conditioned content that you want them to see.

Check out this topic: http://webhelp.madcapsoftware.com/flare ... Review.htm. What you're looking for is kinda buried deep in the procedure, but it's there, in Step 6.

Yes, but they do see the attached warning. There are at least two problems with this:
1. it introduces more complexity to the review GUI; what do my reviewers need to know about 'conditional expressions'?
2. it allows them to see context I do not want them to see. They are encouraged to 'remove' this conditional restriction, which makes the hidden text visible again!
