Fly-over properties for drop-down heading

Like just about every project out there, I've got loads of drop-down sections. I just noticed that in my output there is a flyover text box (duh, how is it I never noticed them before?). The default content is “Drop Down”. I don't want to instruct my readers to get down on the floor, so at the very least, I'd like to edit that to read Drop-down, or something else, like "Click to view additional content", but can't find where that is edited...

I've tried three browsers and none of them show a fly-over. What version of Flare are you using?

My guess would be something in the style sheet. Open your css in Notepad (which you can do in the Content Explorer from the context menu) and Find "Drop Down".

If that doesn't work, try viewing the source code of the output in your web browser: Right-click >This Frame > View Frame Source. Look at the lines following <div class="MCDropDown"> and see if there is "Drop Down" (with quotes) inside any of the tags. If you find it, you might be able to figure out where it's coming from.

Hmmm. I'm using Flare 9, in IE 10. When I mouse over a drop-down heading there's a text box that says, "Drop down" (I still can't believe it's not hyphenated!) A post on LinkedIn suggested the mc-image-alt-text property, but that is not correct.

I don't think it's possible in Flare 9 as it looks to be built into a "title" attribute at compile time. You could run a Find/Replace on it after compile, but that would have to be done each time you build a final version.

<span title="Drop Down" class="MCDropDownHotSpot dropDownHotspot MCDropDownHotSpot_">Image: Detailed Quote</span>

Flare 10 no longer codes a title, just alt text, which can be customised using the mc- property you mentioned.

<img class="MCDropDown_Image_Icon" data-mc-alt2="Closed" alt="Open" src="../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif">

You may want to search your CSS for "Drop Down", which you can do if you open it in NotePad (right-click in the Content Explorer and select Open with). If it's in the CSS you should be able to determine the class and property.
