Hi
I've been trying to add a page with links to network storage drives and have been trying the file hyperlink. The links work fine in preview but once published become unresponsive when clicked.
Anyone found a counter to the issue? Would really like to avoid making virtual directories to everything but I know that has worked in the past.
Cheers
Mark

Is it possible to post the text view of the link? And is the source code of the output the same?

What browser are you using? I recently discovered that Chrome has a built-in security feature that prevents calls to files on a local network from being loaded unless the web page calling the file was also opened from a network share. Since my web page was on a web server, not a file share, it wouldn't work, and I wasn't going to tell my users that they had to install a plug-in, I put a note on the page that they could use IE to download the files, or manually navigate to the files using Windows Explorer (I provided the full path to the file).
