I'm trying to poistion a table within my header frame on a master page.
When I edit the header (F2) and insert the table it always sits at the bottom of the header frame.
Can somebody help me to postion the table ie centre vertically in the frame?

Re: Position a table in header
I think you want to do this in your PageLayout, not MasterPage. I'm not having much luck with vertical alignment, but you may want to try adding some pixels to the top margin of the table in the TableStyles CSS (General tab, Table Margins).
edit: Sorry, I mean bottom margin. In my testing, my table was aligned to the top of the frame. Which I found to be interesting, the fact that our alignments are opposite by default.

Re: Position a table in header
I should have said - I added the table in mt pagelayout body file header.
The table is always positioned at the bottom of the header frame. To push the text further up and I added two extra empty table rows at the bottom of the table (obviously my tables have no borders).
I'm not sure if there's a better solution.

The only other option I can offer is to insert a clear image (same color as your background) below the table.

Re: Position a table in header
1. I assumed you checked the properties of the header frame itself to make sure you didn't specify top padding or margin or positioning, etc.?
2. The header frame is actually a DIV. Did you by chance set your base DIV style in your topic stylesheet to be vertical-align:bottom or something comparable?
3. Do you have any margin-top value specified for the base table tag in your topic stylesheet?
