Suppress CSS3 warnings in Messages pane?

Post by kowalczuk »

Hello,

I can suppress CSS3 warnings in output, but can't seem to do the same for the Messages pane while editing topics using the XML editor - this means that the MEssages pane is pretty much constantly displayed, and can lead to genuine messages being hidden amongst non-errors... The elements in question render correctly in modern browsers, so it's not a CSS problem, but the validation of CSS2.1 against your code.

This is really frustrating - save for undocking the Messages window and hiding it from view, there doesn't seem any other way of stopping these messages appearing.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

Hey Ewok, welcome to the forums.

This is a volunteer-moderated forum. There is no guarantee that anybody from MadCap will actually see this post. You may want to raise a support request (if you have a maintenance contract) or file a bug report. I agree, this is a bug, especially since Flare uses several features of CSS 3 including rounded borders, so its not like they aren't aware of the spec.

Just for curiosity sake, what are the selectors that Flare doesn't like? Are they browser-specific attributes? Having errors in the browser-specific attributes wouldn't really surprize me, since that is a list that is constantly changing.
