Where is option to open topic vs topic properties for DBLCLK

Post by C_Yeager »

Hi everyone. Solved my last problem with TOC closing here and opening as a topic over there - That was Options - General - Close others when opening new document. I had set it to close others as I thought OK, that way I'll keep it to one open doc at a time." Flare sees almost everything as a "document" though, not just .htm files, so I guess you have to remember that. Just today I had 10 .html files open, so I went Window > Close all documents and before I could stop myself it (I) had taken down my whole layout. wish I could filter that somehow, it was handy in Robohelp.

Here are my questions today:

I know I found this at one point but I have a new install and I want to set this to the option that makes sense - Double click on TOC link to open the topic. Have searched help every which way I can think of. Like I say, I know it exists... Please refresh my memory - Where is the option to open topic vs topic properties for doubleclick.

Also. a bonus question - can I tell Flare that I do not want to confront the Startup page or the Help page every time I open the program? It's just extra clicks to close them, and they add up, you know...

Thanks all!

It's that little book on the right of the TOC editor. It is a toggle that lets you switch back and forth:

Thank you very much... never would have found it again. Also no way to turn off the start page/help page every time, and just get to what you're working on?
