Using a print output, I am having an issue with Flare losing justification when a word or two are bolded. For example, the following paragraph correctly uses justified lines when no formatting is added.
However, when the words "Checklist Number" is bolded, the justification is lost.
Has anyone had this issue or know why this might be happening? Thanks.

Re: Justified Problem with Bold Spans
What happens in the actual printed output? I've found that the XML editor doesn't always accurately show things like that.
Re: Justified Problem with Bold Spans
The printed output displays just as the XML editor does - with justification being incorrect.

That is odd. Is this an anomoly or do you see it consistently? It sounds like a bug to me. If log a bug report and see what they say.
Re: Justified Problem with Bold Spans
It happens more often than not, but there are some cases where it does not happen at all. In addition, retyping the paragraph has fixed the problem about 10% of the time, but the other 90% remains to have an issue.
Re: Justified Problem with Bold Spans
Just out of curiosity, if you apply the bold to the first word, then apply bold to the second word, does it work as it should? In other words, <b>Checklist</b> <b>Number</b>? It's not something you'd want to have to do as a workaround all the time, but it might help MadCap narrow down the problem. My guess is that the span class is forcing it into retaining the space as a character instead of dropping it, so to speak, as normally happens with justified text. If there's no span class (or <b>) tag formatting that space, then it'll probably work.
There have been similar issues in the past with Flare counting the characters of the tags themselves instead of ignoring them as it should when it builds the file.

Good news as this bug has been fixed in Flare 11!
