Hi there folks,
I've been working on this one for a while, so I figured it was time to reach out and ask a question. I find the names of the style items somewhat hard to decipher. I bet I'm not alone.
I have edited the color of hyperlinks and removed underlines from them. Only problem is that hyperlinks that lead to a pop-up window are still underlined. What is the correct style item that controls this?
Thanks!
Nina

If you mean Topic Popup, add this to your CSS:
The easiest way to find the names of the classes that are actually in use is to press F12 while viewing the output in your browser, then use the inspect button to click the element in question and examine the code. F12 works in FF and IE, and they both have similar "inspect" buttons.
Code: Select all
.Popup{text-decoration: none !important;}Re: links to pop-ups... can't remove the underline
The topic popup style is a.Popup - it's probably a good idea to set the text-decoration property for the hover and focus pseudo classes too.

The trouble with modifying output style is that the style tag and class can be different between outputs (e.g. WebHelp and HTML5), and might also change between Flare versions (many output styles changed from v9 to v10).
For example, (a).Popup may be correct in the Flare version and output that you checked, but in HTML5 output in v10.2 it is a.aPopup.
If you set the properties on the source style a.Popup, then Flare will generate the appropriate output styles from that.

I wouldn't use this approach unless you definitely cannot change a style via Flare's stylesheet - it's a last resort to modify output styles.OomikeoO wrote:The easiest way to find the names of the classes that are actually in use is to press F12 while viewing the output in your browser, then use the inspect button to click the element in question and examine the code. Re: links to pop-ups... can't remove the underline
I just checked back after not having visited for some time. Thanks for the feedback. I've already come up with my own answer, but I'm going to investigate these suggestions. In fact, I found the correct style to edit after a while.
