Unwanted Break in Note Style
Unwanted Break in Note Style
I have a Note style with borders that is subject to page breaks in pdf output. Is there a way to assign both, my Note style along with my "AvoidInsideBreak" paragraph styles together? Or, do I need to do something else to keep my Note style from breaking?

Hi GDonn,
Welcome to the forums
How do you apply the avoid page break attribute?
It sounds as if you have something like a p.note and a p.avoidpagebreak.
If so, can you set the avoid page break attribute on p.note?

Re: Unwanted Break in Note Style
Do you have multiple paragraphs in the style, or just long paragraphs?
If you have multiple paragraphs inside the note style, you can wrap the whole group of styles in a span, and set that span to "page-break-inside:avoid;"
If you have a single paragraph with the note style, then just add the "page-break-inside:avoid;" option to the note paragraph style.

Just to illustrate what's been said:
I like to use div's for notes, tips, etc. But it's just a matter of preference.

Thanks for the replies...
D'oh...I guess I could have just defined that in the note properties and that was my first inclination but for some reason I was thinking that there was a possibility to combine 2 separate styles. I'll just chalk it up to a senior moment (I can do that now that I'm 60 right?). I'm a bit of a newb to Flare so everything I'm currently using came from the template that MC provided. I'm basically making changes to suit my needs.

I prefer "writer's block", but then I'm not quite 60 yet. In your defense, Flare has so many features that it's easy to get lost in the settings.GDonn wrote:...I'll just chalk it up to a senior moment (I can do that now that I'm 60 right?).
