Anyone used Flare 10's direct Perforce support?

Post by Msquared »

Release almost out of the door, so I have a day or two to play with things I've not had time to sort before. :-)

One thing is to try Flare 10's Perforce support. But I've fallen at the first hurdle. It seems that I can only bind a project if I am using a depot that uses streams, and then only if I'm prepared to create a new stream for each project???

We do use streams in our main development environment, but I thought I'd try initially using a test project in a less visible depot which doesn't use streams. It seems I can't do this?

In in our main depot, I'd be hung, drawn and quartered by our developers if I created a new stream for each project. I have enough trouble keeping track of the streams I do have to use without adding lots more. So this seems an absolute non-starter.

Anyone been here before me and managed to do it successfully?

(raises hand)

After quite a lot of experimentation, I threw in the towel. IMO, it's still better to work with Perforce in a non-integration manner.
